The Berkshire Adult Baseball League is a wooden bat baseball league located in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. The league was started by Lou Orazio in the summer of 2011 so local ball players wouldn't have to travel outside of the Berkshires to play organized baseball.

The Housatonic River Monsters, named after the Housatonic River and located in Lee, MA, was formed by Rich Casey, Raul Cortes, Josh Herlihy, Tyler Perry, and John Scarpa from the Dalton Dominators, Ralph Olds from the Berkshire Bears, and local player Chris Walker.

The goal of the River Monsters is to bring adult wooden bat baseball to the tight-knit community in Lee. Many of the players on the team played high school ball for the Lee Wildcats and American Legion for Lenoxdale Post 274.
